Being part of the Alabama Crimson Tide family can be hard to explain to an outsider. Some people see us as crazy fanatics that go to unhealthy extremes to prove our devotion ( who can forget Harvey Updyke?). Others might see our devotion borderline cultish. I hope that some people, however, just see a fan base that supports their beloved team. You see, there are only two teams in Alabama. The Crimson Tide and that other team. Both have passionate fan bases, but don’t all colleges?

For the past few years, Alabama has been basking in the glory of their Golden Era. We have won three national championships in the past four years, adding to our numerous previous championships. Fifteen of them to be exact. Not too shabby if you ask me. The kind of success that Alabama has experienced the past four years would make any sports fan jealous…
